Ha Eun-Hye
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to verify the clinical utility of K-CBCL 6-18 in diagnosing anxiety disorder for children with psychological disorders in child foster care. The participants comprised 421 children(254 boys, 167 girls) living in child foster care throughout the nation. They were assessed by means of the Korean Child Behavior Checklist 6-18(K-CBCL 6-18) and Revised Children¡¯s Manifest Anxiety Scale(RCMAS). The results were as follows. First, the RCMAS and Anxiety related scales of the K-CBCL 6-18 had significantly positive correlations. Second, as a result of a t-test and analyzing the predictive value of the anxiety related scales of the K-CBCL 6-18 on the Anxiety and Non-Anxiety groups, six anxiety related scales of the K-CBCL 6-18 were discriminated significantly. The hit rate of the six anxiety related scales of the K-CBCL 6-18 was between 60-70%. Third, ROC curve analysis of anxiety related scales of the K-CBCL 6-18 were performed on the Anxiety and Non-Anxiety groups. As a result, sensitivity, specificity and optimal cut-off were verified.
